Lemans 24Hours problem

Has anyone else had any trouble playing Lemans 24Hours with Windows XP? I tried running it (original cd), it will install, load game and let you choose all gaming options, but when it goes to load the race it goes back to the desktop. I have all the latest video drivers so that shouldn't be a problem.

Would really appreciate some help.
Though I think the problem is that it isn't supported by windows xp.

i looked around and i think it's a win95/98/me game only. couldn't find any patches for it. no answers, sorry.

Try running it in compatability mode.

I just tried to run it in compatibility mode, I tried each different mode available and it didn't work in any of them.

Me neither, I've tried it with a number of programs, it doesn't seem to do jack.
