i`ll be getting me new card tomorrow and was wondering if i`ll have to uninstall my current driver (28.32) then install my card and update to a newer detonator driver or will it work if i leave the 28.32 in?

95% percent sure you will have to uninstall the current drivers and reinstall with the gf4 in. when you install detonator drivers, it finds your specific card type and installs only those drivers... throws the rest away.

you or anyone else lemme know if i'm wrong.

I didn't have to uninstall anything when I installed my GF4, just pulled the old card out put the new one in, but then I later upgraded to the 29.42 drivers anyway. since most GF4's just come with the 28.32's on a disk.

Don't take the chance, reinstall. During the research I did before buying the same card, I heard a couple of horror stories about complete reinstalls of XP being needed to get the old drivers off after an abortive install. BTW, I've had mine for two weeks. It's a great card.

How are the 29.42 drivers working Qumahlin?

So far I have tried 28.32,28.90,29.20,29.40 and 29.42
I have a GF4 ti 4600 and I had the best score with the 28.90

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
