Latest nVidia driver problem

Hi, I'm running XP pro and installed that latest drivers for my Ultra TNT 2 cardand ran into a problem. After installing the drivers WinDVD 3 would freeze my PC completely and I could do nothing but hit the reset button. Thinking WinDVD was a problem, I then tried PowerDVD and got the same results! I updated both programs with the XP patch, I also tried them with DMA mode turned off...same thing.
In the end I had to "roll-back" to previous driver for both programs to work!!!
I never had both installed at once to avoid conflicts.

Any ideas?

I always remove the drivers completely in add/remove programs - Reboot - and install the new ones


Over the years of doing it this way, i have never had a driver update Issue
