Laptop Help

I just purchased a new laptop and decided to get a 3Com 10/100 XJack card so I can share files with my main PC and use my broadband connection.

Upon installing the new hardware Windows XP installed it all and said everything was fine. I copied the network connections form my PC onto the laptop.

With Windows not detecting a network cable, although the lights confirmed connection on my router and LAN card I tried some investigation.

I found that only driver file was being used (is this normal) although there is a stack of files on the newly downloaded drivers from the 3Com site. I’ve tried different hubs and routers and different cables.

The Card model number is 3CXFE575CT. All help is greatly welcome.

Thanks,
Mike Tasker

the only thing to do is totally remove any instance of the Crad and driver from your system and try a fresh install of it with the latest drivers

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
