Hi all
I have been given a "Dell Latitude XPi CD 150ST" laptop, ok it's not the fastest thing on the go but i got it for nothing and it works great except for the following error.
In "MS-Dos Prompt" when i want to type the backslash (\) i get a hash (#) instead. If i hold the "Shift" key i get a ~ sign.
I had the keyboard set to "English (British)" which correct for me, but a friend said to change it to "English (United States)" but it still does the same thing.
It works ok when you are in MS Office Word or Notepad, but in dos or the ms-dos prompt i cannot get the \ sign which is one of the thing i need most.
I have tried using the hash (#) instead but i get a 3 or the £ sign holding "Shift" key.
it's running Win98SE and works well except for this problem.
any ideas guys/gals
