I put in a old program ... it did not work so i removed it so i thought.

Now i have some of my normal programs that wont load up , tried reinstalling and all that even tried using repair in the xp setup disc.

the message is
Procedure entry point thunkconnect32 cannot be connected to
link library kernel32.dll

I cant even copy a kernell32.dll from one computer to another.

that doesnt sound very good. as far as i know, kernal32.dll is an important system file, kind of like the backbone of windows.

The best way is to back up whatever you need. Format, and do a clean WinXp install.

Have you tried doing a repair install? or was it the first repair option in the XP setup process?

thanks

repair install. took forever .

also xp program dvdupgrade has the same problem.

IF I could copy that file into system that would do the trick.. how can i unlock the system to alow a copy of the file ?

looks like something to do with zip drive software from a quick google

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
