I've been getting these Physical Memory Dumps recently and have no idea how to solve this problem. It happens first when my pc is booted for the first time of the day. I'm forced to reboot and then it's fine thereafter.

I downloaded a nice little application I seen on TechTV called Startup Control Panel from www.mlin.net. Anyways I have noticed that it lists KernalFaultCheck with a path of %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k.

Is it SAFE to uncheck this as I am wanting to stop applications from starting at startup but also does that KernalFaultChecl have anything to do MAYBE with those Physical Memory Dumps?

Yes its safe to uncheck it. Yes its related to physical memory dumps but its not the cause of the fault at startup.

You can disable the dump file by going to:

Control Panel | System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery

change the options for 'Write Debugging Information" to None.

Enyo, thanks for your reply. I have done this, but I still receive a BSOD with a Physical Memory Dump error.

What else might you suggest that I do to fix this?

When you get the BSOD it will contain a error code, something like '0x0000001E' note it down and post it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
