JVC reciever compatable with x-fi?

Yes. Just be aware that the output for the x-fi card is a mini jack you will than have to get an adapter to use either coax or optical to your receiver.

^ Good post.

I don't understand the front panel crap on these cards. I use SPDIF Toslink Fiber optic. Go to e-bay and they sell good quality 30' fiber cables for cheap. I have two. And the bitstream is compatable with any recever that has a SPDIF optical port.

does the digital have all 7.1 channels on it(i thought i heard somewhere that digital only works up to 5.1)

Digital by nature would only be 2 channels unless you have a actual digital stream you are playing Eg. DVD, DVD-Audio, etc..

Digital can support 7.1 to my knowledge just fine as long as your decoder (the receiver in this case) supports 7.1 and your source actually has the 7 channels to begin with.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
