Just got back from my first trip to Alton Towers!

All I can say is WOW, how cool was that?!

We went on almost everything, it was really sunny but quite quiet as the kids are all still at school. I've never experienced anything quite like Nemesis or Oblivion, and Rita: Queen of Speed was just mental! 0 - 100Kmph in 2.5 seconds.

Anyone else been there recently? Wow. I'd love to hear what anyone else has to say about such an awesome place.

Been on the first two rides, bought the zippo from the second as I was so impressed with myself (was a good idea at the time)

Anyone read about a worker being struck and killed by a roller coaster at Lego Land in Denmark?

Never been but I have been on the rides at Flamingo Land. There used to be a ride called The Bullet but sadly its not there anymore :laugh:

Not been to Alton Towers, I always tended to go to Draton Manor instead.

Yeah I used to go to Drayton Manor when I was younger, I loved that place. Alton Towers knocked it for six really though, especially with these new rollerocoaster.

I still can't get over Rita: Queen of Speed - I just wasn't expecting anything so fast!
