Java Virtual Machine

I just did a clean XP install, and I have downloaded every update for Windows. For some odd reason Java is not installed on my machine .. If I go to aim express or something, It asks me to download it. I accept. I am then taken to a microsoft.com page ... that says the follwing,

"We're sorry. Automatic installation of Microsoft Virtual Machine is no longer provided for Microsoft Windows XP."

I am totally confused! Help!

There's a "sticky" post at the top of the "applications" group (this one). It has a link to download Microsoft's Virtual Machine which will allow IE to view Java enabled sites.

Kind regards,
Willem Moolenaar

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
