java problems

everytime i try to run something thats java based, i have to download the virtual machine again. then i get forwarded to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/getosver/javaxp.asp

what?
can this be fixed?

I used to have that problem so I downloaded the java software fro snu microsystems and have had no problems since.

Yup, Microsoft's JavaVM isn't real Java, best stick with the real stuff from Sun.
