I reformatted & went to a page I like, and it asked for the first time if I wanted to install java. Stupidly, I checked the don't ask again box & now I don't know how to get it back. Any ideas? I downloaded the one from the sun page & it wasn't what i wanted.
thanks in advance...

Well you have VM thats what you installed in the first instance but as you say NIS wants Java 2 so if you want to make use of that feature you will have to go with the Sun Java.

VM was withdrew by MS for legal reasons, Suns Java will be coming into place via Service Pack 2 to give users Java abilites.

However this may not happen which is leaving preperations for changes in a mess :)

I would install Java 2 and use the access defaults section of add remove programs to set VM to the default.

You may want to get some help from a NIS user on this matter, i really have not had much contact with it so im not sure the purpose of the feature you spoke of.

I forgot to go and set it as default and you didnt mention that I hasd to get an update from Ms.........

It was howeva in the link you posted....I'll give it ago and let you know...lol...I'm a poet and I didn't even no it!!!!!!!!lol

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
