j79zlr Look Here

I've tried a couple of the Linux CAD software packages but unfortunately nothing is 100% compatible, which is really what I need. I work with AutoCAD for my living, I can't use something that isn't 100% compatible. That looks more like a stress analysis [ANSYS] and CFD modeling software. This is more like autocad, but again, I can't afford to not have something work. http://www.ribbonsoft.com/qcad.html

it is similar to ansys, and also Algor......CAD software for linux is light years away. for being reliable. tried them all. been doing it for 15 years.and Autodesk is able to hold its own. unless you use Catia or UG on a unix workstation.

AutoCAD actually has some deal with Microsoft in that they are only able to release AutoCAD on Windows. They cannot release a Mac, Linux, or any Unix variant compatible version of AutoCAD. I am sure without that licensing restriction you would see it available. ProE, MATLAB, ANSYS, etc. all have unix compatible versions.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
