i bought the damn $500 win xp pro full version software and i juz gotta burn it so i can restore the original cd in good condition cuz i juz wasted my week salary on it....anywayz i installed the backup cd on my comp full clean install using those six floppies boot disk on ms dos....i tottally forgot about bootable cd....i was wondering if the original xp cd is bootable and same with the copied one?

You can't take it back after you copied it. It's called a EULA and if you open the packet to copy it... You own it.

BTW, its bootable.

GoNz0 i think i know that, it's so obvious .... i juz rather use the copied cd instead of the original so i don't get any scratches on that expensive software.

BTW, thanx i'll try to boot on the cd next time i re-install

Ahh that's what you were saying jasonb. I was thinking how GoNzO was. All you have to do is have the cd rom to boot first in the bios. Insert the xp cd, boot up & follow the instuctions. :D

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
