Is there a replacement SysTray clock for XP?

I used to use TClockEx but it doesn't work on XP. All I'm after is customizable Date/Time & maybe a transparent background so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
Thanks for any advice.

don't know which tclock, you have, there are several, search this site for "free programs", you'll find the latest tclock there

You wanna try Chameleon Clock, they've just updated it to work well under XP. Do a search for it with Copernic, or any other major search engine. Freely available but I think it's shareware.

Thanks gothic & dealer

I just downloaded Tclock (I had TClockEx) & Chameleon Clock.
I'll try the free one first!
Chameleon Clock would have to be very good for me to pay $25 for it.
I'll let you know!

Thanks again

How did you get it working, lelu?

Did you have to install it or run it in compatibility mode?
I've tried & tried & can't get it to work properly. All I get is a small grey box at the right hand side of the systray.

If you have a big monitor just unlock the taskbar and drag the
edge of the taskbar up and double its size. If you auto-hide the taskbar it doesn't really matter if it's bigger. This way XP's clock
shows the date, time and day of the week. It saves running
another program and wasting resources.

Well I didn't know that!
Now all I have to do is get my taskbar to stay hidden (see my other post).
If I can sort that out it sounds like the perfect solution.
Thanks a lot pappcam.

I had used it with W-95 and really liked it.
I notice that it wasn't listed for XP but I know of other people using it with XP, so I just downloaded and installed.
I don't know what you mean by compatibility mode?

What little resources TclockEx uses doesn't bother me.

I can't stand a double taskbar or a auto-hide taskbar.:)

If I could get TClockEx to work properly I'd settle for that.
I do like the auto-hide.
Everyone has their own way of working.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
