Is there a camera lens converter?

Hey guys,
I have in my possession, a Sigma 70-210mm lens intended for a Minolta camera, my camera however is a Canon digital rebel xt.
I was hoping/wondering if there is a way I can get a converter to make this lens fit on my camera.
Simply looking through this lens I can see what a great macro lens this is.
I would hate to waste it :(

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch.

vanq - there are some adapter kits that are available (http://www.amazon.com/Minolta-lens-Canon-mount-adapter/dp/B000YD77KE) that might work.

You may lose some things like the focus dot and confirmation.. depending on how well they work (or don't work) it may make the lens more of a manual lens.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
