IRC...how do you use it?

I've downloaded mIRC but am completely lost as to how to use it? Any guides/suggestion?

First suggestion, don't use mIRC. It's shown overtime to be insecure. Also, unlike virtually every other client and the IRC medium itself, It's not free.

take a look at http://irchelp.org/ to get you started.

HydraIRC is good. Looks better too. Its free as well. Try that.

same could be said about the OS it runs on but everyone still uses it 😛 I would suggest checking out irchelp also, and stop into the forum IRC channel 🙂
