Anyone else ever had the problem of their system32 folder becoming invisible? It is not showing in the Windows Folder, and not in Windows Explorer. It also can not be found using Search. It does show by using the address bar to C:\Windows\system32 but that is the only way to find it. It has nothing to do with hidden folders option. Seems strange.

Is the folder accessible through Explorer in Safe Mode, or while another user is logged on?

You could try doing a System Restore, if you have an accurate portrayal of when the problem began.

Thanks guys. I still don't know what caused the problem, but I was due a format, after the format the system32 folder was back in place. I would still like to know what caused it to become invisible though.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
