Internet speed SLOW down. . .

My internet speed is VERY slow. . .seemingly at 56K speeds.

I have a DSL connection which is usually very fast.

My computer is connnected through a wireless connection to a Linksys wireless router. Another computer is connected to the Internet via a cable w/ NO problems in speed.

The signal strength of my connection is strong.

The connection USED to be fine.

I recently did a reformat. . .everything worked fine after the format. Thinking that something was conflicting, I restored my computer back to a time when the connection was fast. . .this did nothing.

Any ideas? Need more info??

Try these...

I don’t know much about DSL etc because I have Dial up. But have you…

Exited any crap in the task bar, i.e. firewalls, kazaa etc
Unplugged the modem (switch of then unplug!) for about 3 hours to reset to new ip
Checked all Internet settings to how they were when you signed up

Just try stuff like that, and be patient your ISP might be having server/IP/connection etc problems so it should be fine in a short time. Or it could be client problems. If that does not help try phoning the company.
