Internet -> Phone?

I recently moved to Australia, and I want to phone my friends back home. Is there a program or a internet service that will let me do this, for a free trail or something?

there is this thing from the makers of kazaa. I cant seem to find it. maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. I think it's still in beta.

but...as long as you have a mic and the other party has a mic your set.

Aussies won Rugby. But I lived in N.Z for over a decade so All Blacks tore my heart out though I live in Aussie.
Back on topic, there's a program called Internet Phone. Skype also good.
