Hey everyone, I have a friend with a question. How do you clear the info in the search boxes in ie, I cant remember how yoou clear the box of past searches. everytime you type something into the box it shows past search results. can those be removed? thanks

Tools
Internet Options
Browsing history
Delete
Form data
Delete forms
or Delete all

niether of those clears it out permenetly, if you type a letter in the box any word that starts with that letter you previously searched for shows up again.

Have you tried clearing Recent Items/Documents? However, a search box is included within a form. Clearing form data should clear out auto complete. You can try disabling auto complete, restarting IE, then re-enable it.

Windows likes to stash information in multiple places so a simple delete command does not work. After the obvious place data is stored it also ends up in pagefiles, system restore and possibly other locations. When Windows wants to be helpful it will go to the secondary storage places and recover things you think you deleted. Embarrasing with those pesky porn sites, and aggravating with viruses and malware...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
