Internet Explorer Accessing Floppy Drive On Start

Anyone know how to cure IE from searching the floppy drive when IE starts up? I've tried google but no go.
I'm not sure to the specs of this person's machine yet, will post when I find out.

Strange. It seems like it's looking for something on the floppy drive. Are there any add-ons installed, such as toolbars etc? Have you scanned the system for malware?

mine would do that sometimes too, when i would save to the floppy and not save to the HD after.

The only other thing I can think of is the antivirus software trying to check the floppy drive, but I don't see why it would do that only when you load IE.

You haven't opened anything on a floppy drive recently? Try clearing I.E's history and your recently used documents list.
