Internet Explorer 6 problem

I can browse fine with IE6 till I try to open a link in a new window. As some links automatically start a new window, this is most annoying. The screen just freezes and the new window refuses to open. However, if I click on stop in my browser and then refresh, the new window does open. Anyone know how to fix this? Removing and re-installing IE6 does not appear to be an option with win xp.

Thanks doofus, the info about re-installing IE6 at the microsoft website did the trick!
