I have 2 computers, one with Win XP and the other with Win98 SE. I have 2 networkcards into the computer with XP and 1 into the computer with win98. I have made a network between these 2 computers with a crosslink cable (UTP) it works perfect but I want to make an internetconnection with the XP computer and it doesn't work. I have a broadband internet connection so XP has to configure it self but it doesn't work, the ip adres starts always with 169 and it must be start above the 200.

Who can help me?

Do you know how I can change the ip adres on XP. Because if I want to fix my LAN connection ( networkconnections ) it doesn't fix the IP adress, Xp says than that it failed to fix the IP adress.

Or do you know how I can remove the TCP/IP protocol and install it back just like Windows 98 or another version.

Are you using RRAS?!? Do you have any problems connecting to certain sites?!?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
