Internet Boosters

Just like with crappy 98' they used to have connection boosters to increase speed. Now, in XP I have no complaints about my cable connection speeds but anything to make it faster would just be nice. MORE POWER UH!! UH!!

maddog try downloading a program called Cablenut..it might help you out a bit. as for dialup boosters...I have yet to see a true way to boost dialup speed just rememeber the max speed of dialup is about 6.5k a second..and when you add in TCP/IP overhead that falls to the 5k range..so if your getting 4k your pretty gravy

boosters dont work... you have to optimize your registry to support ur internet connection... i have registry tweaks that i personally made if anyone is interested email me... and include ur connection.

boosters definately work, Cablenut Tweaks ALL your internet settings definately works

um if we wanna get technically all a booster is...is a registry tweaker...cablenut does nothing but change the TCP/IP keys in the registry by adjusting TTL, Acks, Blackhole, Rwin, MSS and so on and so on...booster=regedit heheh

hmmmmm interesting concept, that a tweaking program would be doing it through the registry....hmmmmm....Do you think cablenut might be on to something?

I have tried quite a few internet tweaks, payed for a couple and tried others and to tell you the truth, I have not seen much gain with any of them.

If your connection is slow, whether it be dialup or broadband and if your ISP is also slow, no matter how many tweaks you do, they don't really help.

internet boosters like download accelerator dont work... cablenut is just like DRTCP... but they have preset settings for your registry you can use... which have been tested and work the best for that type of connection...

well that is definately true unless your like me... and your connection was slow and after adding some registry tweaks... i went from 1.8mb download to over 3.5mb download but everyone knows that you cant do anything about your upload
