Intel's going to move forward the commercial launch of it's new architecture, Nehalem, which consists in new processors codenamed Bloomfield and a new chipset, the X58. These were originally scheduled for launch near the end of the year, but will go on sale on september (though they may appear in early october).

These cpu's represent the biggest leap since the conroe core and feature an integrated memory controller and hyper-threaded cores.

Yes, this is good news. It is time for me to build new.

I might have to put together a new setup around Christmas. Give my HTPC to my brother or something.

I'll take any free decent castoffs.. :p

The question is, will it blend once thrown off a ladder?

Any of the SP crew still out there?
