Whats the difference b/w the 2.53 533mhz P4 and the 2.5 400mhz P4?? I'm looking to purchase a new processor but the prices totally confuse me when it comes to finally choosing something. Slower chips cost more than certain faster ones?? Is there any information out there that someone could point me to?

Thanks

I think that's the bus speed of the processor, or something like that. Not sure at all.

higher bus speed = better due to additional bandwidth that can be handled... b revision is also newer.. i would always take the 533 fsb cpu over the 400mhz.. :)

but like hipster said.. make sure your mobo can handle the cpu :)

I agree with both Hipster and Sazar. The 533 or 400MHz is the bus that the cpu uses to talk to the rest of the system and as both Hipster and Sazar said make sure your motherboard can handle the chip.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
