Integrated LPT1 not WORKING!!!

Hello guys. I just isntalled my VIA 4 in 1 drivers, and I think it may have caused windows XP to forget all about my LPT port on my mobo. It detects an "UNKNOWN" device, and it wont let me install drivers for it. I know its the printer port, because under ports, LPT1 is no longer there, only com1 and com2. Can anyone help me PLEASE!! In dire need to print! thank you.

Follow up: Its not a hardware problem its working fine on my WINDOWS2k partition, but for some reason its just not detected under windows. Windows claims that the "UNKOWN" device is on the PCI bus, so thats deffinetely not a Parralel port... who knows. I guess I'll just keep tinkering

disable the serial ports, maybe you might need some free IRQ's

Use System Restore to roll back to before you installed the drivers.
