Installing XP Pro Problem

I recently installed XP Pro to a PC with a floppy drive, zip drive, cd-rom, and a hard drive. After the installation I rebooted into the OS and found out that it was on the E drive. My zip drive was assigned the drive letter C and the cd-rom was assigned the letter D. However when I tried to do a repair it asked me to repair the C:\Windows installation. Is there any easy way to fix this, I was under the suspicion that you can't change the drive letter of the boot partition, but I'm not sure if XP has anyway around this. Thank you in advance for any advice!!

problem is that if you change the drive letter that holds Windows then every program you have installed will probably not work. I would recommend that you completely reinstall. To keep this from happening again I would probably remove the zip drive (or atleast pull the power on it) until after you have Windows completely set up. I have never heard of this happening, but I wouldn't rule anything out. If you don't do the reinstall you will probably have more of a headache than if you just do it. Good luck!

or completely reinstall (best way to do it) or have a look at partitionmagic and the drivemapper tool.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
