Installing SuSE Linux from Bootable DVD...

Alright...this is terrible that I already need help. I put in a DVD. It booted to the options. Then there are several installation options, from "Installation" to "Manual Installation." I'd love to know the difference between the two, but can't find it anywhere.

But, more importantly, I try and hit either installation feature, and all I get is a graphical screen that says "Press F2 for details" with the SuSE logo and it seemingly sits there going nowhere. The DVD drive doesn't flash at all. So does this mean it crashed? Or is it supposed to take its good old time before it starts working? Because "pressing F2" goes nowhere; it doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas, before I dismiss Linux as being inherently "un-user friendly"?

Alright...disregard this thread. I just need to wait a lot longer for it to come up. Well, maybe a good suggestion for Novell is to make that screen look a lot less "inactive," as to not imply that it has crashed.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
