I am using WINXP Pro and when I attempt to adjust my microphone settings through Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Device Properties/Voice/Voice Recording, I get a message "Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe, use Add/Remove Programs control panel to install".

When I go in to Windows Setup to add additional components, I cannot seem to find this component as something to install. What do I need to do to install SndVol32.exe??

I have found a file SndVol32.ex_ on my WINXP CD so I know that it must exist, but how to install.......

Thanks for your attention and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

That is the path I was attempting to take, but the problem is that "Multimedia" does not show up as an option anywhere.

Any other ideas??
