For some weird reason windows wont recognize the fonts i install. I usually had put the fonts in the windows/font dir and they would appear. I know win98 has the right click install thingy but i dont see it in xp. can anyone help?

Have you tried opening the fonts folder in the control panel and go to File => Install new font?

hey... when you have the fonts (presumably in zip format) you do have to unzip them... and then cut cut and paste them into the dir.. WIN XP should unstall them automatically..

hope this helps..

peace

here's a great tip from yoyo, which will save some system resources when installing fonts;

Tip/Tweak: How to temporarily install a font
Since it is not recommendable to install too many, better store your collected fonts somewhere else. If you want to use one of these only for one session simply doubleclick on it and minimize the window that pops up. Windows now thinks this font is installed and it is available in any application you open.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
