In Thermaltake's ultimate brilliance, they put in crap directions. The sensor, supposedly, can be put on the CPU or the heatsink. But where? How? Are there any guides on this?

I think the picture looks like it goes on the underside of the heatsink, not sure how you are supposed to get it there though. Putting it between the CPU and the HSF will goive false readings and impair thermal conductivity

It goes under the cpu, the real thin wires go through the pins.

But it doesn't look like there are thin wires. It looks like the wires are under protective plastic. I should look to see if that plastic is supposed to be removed, but, at the time, it didn't look like it.

no the plastic doesn't come of you would short your cpu then remeber u have to lace this through the pins on the bottom of the cpu to put the probe in the little square in the middle of the socket.

stripped wire touching multiple pins = dead CPU and possibly mobo.

Not between the actual cpu core and the heatsink :) just on the substrate bit next to the cpu, the sensor should be thinner than the core height so just stick it down with tape that I'm pretty sure you're supplied with.

this is the same sensor that comes with the volcano 9 is it not? if it is its ment to go under the CPU if its not then beats me how to install it.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
