Hi, I have an AMD hp DV9000 laptop, and I just purchased a fujitsu 100gb SATA II hdd as an add on to my laptop, it says its compatible with my laptop and I have two spaces, I get the drive installed and it shows up in device manager but not as an accessible drive in My Computer. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Whenever I click the update driver button in device manager it tells me they are up to date. Also, don't know if it helps, but when i swap drives 1 and 2, my new drive lets the computer boot past the bios, which does mean that it works...
Please help!
Thanks,
Jack

Sounds like you have to initialize the disk - see this

Holy Crap, Thank you so much!
If there was a way for me to give you a million rep points, I would.
Thanks so much KC!

Good part, is that this thread is now on Google, so instead of people searching for help on google getting all this stuff about have a wrong caddy, they will at least now get a software aspect.

Thanks again.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
