Installation error

I was trying to install a clean set of Windows XP Pro into a PC with the following specifications but encountered an error when the PC has just started to boot with the CD.


The error is :

An unexpected error (1229788596) occured at line 1768 d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c

Specifications are:

Intel Pentium 4 - 1.5Ghz
512MB SDRAM
2 units of 20GB Hard Disk Drive
1 CDRW
1 CD-ROM (normal)

any idea what is this please? : ) Appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

That's indicative of a problem with your RAM. You may want to test your RAM. Here's a link to a RAM diagnostic program from MS:

The RAM was not installed properly .. thanks again for the advise. : )
