Infinite Loop Problem!!!

I am XPeriencing a problem with my Nvidia GeForce2 MX 400. Certain games (madden 2002, max payne) freeze and the blue screen of death pops up. :( Giving a message that reads something like:

device hardware was caught in an infinite loop…. nv4_disp.dll

I’ve tried all the drivers out there from version 15.70-27.42. Other games like Half-Life CS (Open GL) run beautifully. So I’m guessing it’s either a driver issue or direct3D issue.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This usually occurs when you have a VIA chipset .. there have been thousands of issues like yourself is having

the only thing i can suggest is to go to

http://www.viaarena.com - they have most of the answers for VIA chipsets

Thanks max for the suggestion. I'll give that site a look. :)

Oh wait I forgot in this pc i have an intelchip set...

Not sure which model exactly :(

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
