Lo Guys,

Im running a small network here and i have a problem with internet sharing.

All the network cards are 10/100 mbps (all same) with a netgear hub 10/100mbps

im using ICS with no ICF....

i try doing certain things like dcc sending via irc and it does not work on any of the machines including the server machine.

do any of you no why

and is there a fix for this

Do you have a firewall, or do you have the winxp firewall enabled? if so you need to either disable it or make sure you let the ports that DCC uses transmit in and out or else they can't connect because the firewall blocks it.

no firewalls i did it did it when i first installed xp turned inter connection firewall of and still did same thing :(

It's ICS's fault. Since it's a NAT router DCC won't work on the clients. It might be possible to map some ports in ICS so you can use DCC, but I don't know which ones. It should (in theory, or at least I think so) work on the server though, but I can't promise anything. ICS probably intercepts the DCC packet and discards it as an unknown packet.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
