OK, i have windows xp installed on a FAT32 drive...so im wondering if i can make all my persoonal info goto my NTFS drive


like...My documents, ect...

and have it secured

Not sure how to migrate the folder. But if you want to just convert the FAT32 to NTFS, execute this command at the prompt:

CONVERT x: /FS:NTFS

x: is the drive letter you want to convert to NTFS

This converts FAT32 to NTFS WITHOUT data loss. Everything will still be there.

You can move the home folder for individual users by simpily MOVING it in Explorer. Windows should automatically update the registry to point to the new location.

Not sure about the entire "Documents and Settings" folder though.


Alternatively, you could do it through the account manager.
