I am about to do a clean install of Windows XP and want to import my cookies from my current install to the new one so I don't have to re-enter all of my username and passwords on websites.

How can I do this?

Thanks!

But FYI the cookies are stored in your Temporary Internet Files folder which by default is in C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. You might be able to just copy them from there to your new Temporary Internet Files folder. I'd keep a backup as well until you're sure it's working.

Change C: to whatever letter your Windows partition is, of course.

Otherwise, I don't know if the File and Settings Transfer Wizard that comes with XP transfers cookies or not. Worth a shot.

Why don't you just install roboform ?

You know, I use AIRoboForm myself and I used to try to encourage other people who's computers I worked on to use it, too, but they don't. You can take a horse to water...

Of course a lot of people use the same password for everything, but AIRoboForm makes it easy to use different cryptic passwords for everything.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
