In word:
insert a pic (from file) right click it and choose "Hyperlink".

You are linking the image on index.html back to the index.html page!!! Change this to:

<td><a href="benquilter/DESTINATION.html"><img src="benquilter/images/bqtiff.jpg" border="0"></a></td>

Ben buddy buddy, I know this doesn't help diddley, but try to score Macromedia Dreamweaver. Using Word to create websites is like using small monkeys to get me a date... it's fun and all, but never really works.

Yeah I suggest you get Dreamweaver or at least something else than Word. Word is even worse than Frontpage to make HTML. Have you looked at the code it produces? What a mess! How is anyone supposed to be able to read that code?? I suppose they don't....
