I'm getting V+ digital installed this week

I have been waiting for ages for NTL to bring out a new digital set top box where I can record and what another channel at the same time. I called NTL to see if they had any plans to upgrade their digital receivers and I was astounded by the reply they had a new digital STB called V+ where you can record two cannels and watch a third at the same time. This great news because this is the same as Sky+ and it all in HD as well which is a bonus, it comes with a 80GB hard drive where I can record all my programs and then watch, pause, rewind, fast forward whithout the means of a VHS recoder. So nomore hunting for a blank video tape I just tape directly onto the STB. They guy I spoke to said he has one and (I know he's going to say this anyway to get a sale) but I asked some of the guys in work and my boss has this and he said they are awesome.

There is one little catch though, it cost an extra £10.00 for the HD STB and £5.00 for the other STB relocated in another room when then engineer comes to install this. He will do this without no other charge at the same time. So for an extra £15.00 per month you get another STB and a HD STB, whioch is a good deal.

I personally cannot wait for this to be installed, SKY1 HD and whatching 24 will be a blessing. So if anybody is interested in upgrading their orginal STB then just dial 150 on your NTL phone and get an upgrade. £15.00 extra is not that bad considering SKY are charging £300.00.

Are you mad? Don't waste your money, there's never anything good on telly let alone 3 things worth watching at the same time. Televisions a rip off these days, I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of ours to save on having to pay the extortionate telly license :speechless:

Yeah but I like my programs so it does not matter.
