Has anyone else noticed that IIS manages to un-install itself after installing SP1, or is this just me ?

It probably is just me, these things always are :D

I was actually having a nitemare installing PHP using the windows binay after just slipstreaming XP, XPSP1 stremilined installed iis 5.1 and everytime I tried to install it couldn't due to some missing OCX file.. so I installed all the runtimes I could find, same error, so I installed OfficeXP and it then worked, damn weird.

EP, you ever used something called PHPTriad ?
tis very handy, single .exe that installs Apache+PHP+MySQL for you all at once!
(Linkage to follow ... :p)

To be honest I prefer to set em up individually... it was very easy...
I get IIS up and running and delete the default site... move XP-erience in there, install PHP which sets itself up automatically, install MySQL - reimport the database and I am good to calve up XP-erience at my leisure.

heh, each to there own i suppose.

My personal method, run PHPTriad, change c:\apache\conf\httpd.conf around a bit, restart apache, and voilla ... PHP Fun for all the family ... well, me at least :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
