Wamu has a bad SSL Certificate..

edit: what happens when you click the more info button.. should tell you more details on the certificate (in particular, the expiration date on the cert)

This could be caused by an invalid or missing root certificate, the certificate being expired, or the name of the certificate does not match the site.

The screen shot mentions the dates on the cert.. which is why I rule out the name and/or missing root causes..

edit: *slaps matt with a wet fish*

*run*

I didn't view the enlarged screenshot. Sorry. =\

Just click "Continue to this website (not recommended)."

Has anyone called Washington Mutual to tell them to fix their cert?

weird..ff told me it needed to install the cert, but couldnt be used till 4/16/2006. so i looked at the time and date on the pc, it was set to like 2005, then i checked the bios and it was the same..so i think the bat died..im going out and ill pick one up...

O.K. I use Wamu all the time and it has never done that to me. I have used IE, Firefox, and Mozilla, and Opera on three different computers. Now if the BIOS bat died and the dates are of 2005 there could be a conflict since this is 2007. Change out the bat and clear the CMOS and start fresh.

First try to sign in again. Go to www.wamu.com/personal/default.asp Then sign in as you normally would and see what happens.

Now that you have the batt fixed you need to check their AV install. When a Batt goes out on one of my computers AVG has a fit about invalid versions and updates because of the time stamps.

Makes me think maybe their PC is unprotected...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
