can someone tell me how to disable the default download program in xp home? thanks in adv!

If you install another one i.e Flashget or Getright, they should override it?

well that's the problem. i've got getright and stardownloader,but ie won't let either one catch any monitoring clicks. i've checked the faq sec on both websites and everything is setup as it should be,but neither will work.

did you check to see if "monitor clip board" is checked and "disable browser monitering" is not checked ??? some sites don't allow download managers so it won't work with those ..

in addittion, if the extension type is not in the list of download dots, it won't activate the downaod application;

in star, ckick options, then to the white field ofextensions, add whatever dot you're trying to download if it's not allready on the list of dots
