IDE Question

Is it only possible to have 4 IDE in a PC or can you have more? I want to say that with the right hardware you can have more but I'm not sure about that.

You can buy a card and add ide channels that way , but on ide 1, ide 2 its always only 2 pieces on each channel, unless you used scsi like mac's do they can make a daisy chain, but for us on pc's its 2. Unless you get a motherboard like mine 4 ide channel's thats 8 devices plus 2 SATA for a total of 10.

i've got the promise ultra ata 133 card, it's a good buy. i've got 6 HDDs in my PC thanks to it.
