Is it possible to have more than two hard drives on an asus A7V333? I already have a CD-ROM and a CD-RW drive connected. If not does anyone want to buy a 6 gig quantum hard drive?

And what would be the best way to transfer the files from the 6 gig to the new one?

I doubt it's possible, but I think you should wait for more replies on the subject.

If you really want to connect the new hard drive, you could pick up one of those IDE controller cards and use that.

To transfer the files you should just clone your old drive to the new. I'll take your old drive for free since I answered your question!

of course you can have two harddrives. all boards allow up to 4 drives (harddrives, cdrom, etc) total. other boards with built-in raid controllers allow more than that.

it looks like your new harddrive is already in and you have xp installed on it, i assume. since you have two optical drives and one harddrive, just set your old drive to slave, find a spot for it in your case, and connected the middle connector on the ide cable into it, along with power... and viola. should be good to go. in xp, just go into the folders on the old hd and drag over what you want to keep.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
