I'm still using it.. but reverted back to the 2002b version as I believe it's much better than the newer ones.
I can't see anything wrong with it, can send offline messages and sms depending on which country you're sending it to.
I do silly errors as a show of how long since I last used it, which I think was 1998. Thanks for the reminder.
Acronyms spell out words, example, s.o.c.c.e.r. aka soccer aka football.
Thanks for the response, I decided to retry I.C.Q. as in UK we can't use MSN,
A.I.M. I don't like, Yahoo chat is full of the biggest ***kers this planet ever created and as for the bot's I think you have given me some good reasons to use I.C.Q. from now on.
I've used all the IM systems (I think) for various reasons and have to say ICQ seems more or less par for the course - it certainly does not open a floodgate for porn bots and spam merchants per se. The usual common sense will influence its operation and more to the point it does its job fine for what it is aiming to do - have to say optimal solution seems to be to combine with Miranda or Trillian (I use Miranda personally).
Yes I think ICQ had origins in Israel and it certainly was in existence from very earliest Internet take up.
