icons or details

can anyone tell me how to keep , either details, icons etc
in a folder. when I open up a folder it always defaults to icons
I would like to be able to change this, so I have a choice and to save it to what ever I pick ???????

Do you mean you want to "view" the details of the items in your folder?

yes, but when I go into view and chage to details etc it doesn't stay that why and defaults back to icons ??

try this

Backup these RegKeys.

1:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Windows\Sh
ellNoRoam\BagMRU]

2:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Windows\Sh
ellNoRoam\Bags]

After that you must delete them.

Restart windows to take effect.

Now you can change each folder and the setting will stay
