Icons not showing up next to taskbar

Ok, what gives. I just got back from a format, and after a few reboots and now my icons aren't showing up by my clock. I didn't shut off anything in MSConfig that would cause this, so can you guys please help me?

Make sure you have not got them set to 'hidden'.

Right click the task bar/properties/taskbar. Untick hidden at the bottom.
