I have an IBM thinkpad 600 which I've installed XP on. It works great except no sound. In the device manager there's an exclamation point next to "Crystal WDM audio codec." I downloaded the latest driver which showed up when I did the Windows Update thing. No luck. If I do Properties on it, it says "This Device cannot start (code 10)" Any ideas?
:(

goto IBM's site, I belive they have updated drivers under there sometimes impossible to follow driver matrix screen :p I remember installing XP on my co-workers 600 and having to do that.

Fixed!

Hey!

I just removed it in the hardware manager and rebooted. When XP came back up I had sound! Now I have a dedicated MP3 station! (I'm just using the notebook to access my 28 gigs of MP#s ove my home network)

woo hoo!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
